I thought this page might be a good way to introduce us to you by telling you a few things about what our business is about and how we actually came to be a property investment company selling houses in Bulgaria's Lovely towns and villages. There are many opportunities for people that either want to buy property in Bulgaria for holiday purposes or for a permanent home in Bulgaria. The Property in Bulgaria is much cheaper than anywhere else in Europe and not many people are in a position to spend thousands and thousands of hard earned pounds to own their own property abroad. I knew France, Spain, and Portugal were realistically beyond my financial possibilities, but then Bulgaria coming into the EU was being talked about on the TV and in newspapers etc. This made me think hmmm Bulgaria????? isnt that a poor eastern block country that is freezing cold? So rather than knock it on an assumption, I thought I would fly out there and take a look for myself.

The following morning that was it.....I booked my flight...Hired my car.....and found my hotel...I searched the internet for weeks before my flight looking at property pages ( I could still see properties whilst I slept) and I highlighted a few that were not only cheap but also had a lot of potential. I made contact with the agents and arranged my appointments for viewing them. I went to the airport and headed to Bulgaria, on my arrival I was met by the car rental guy and was given my car. Now I had a 320km drive to Veliko Turnovo from Sofia in the middle of the night, and no clue how to read cyrillic signposts. This was daunting at first but after speaking to taxi drivers in their broken English for directions I got to my hotel in the end.

Woke up early afternoon and decided to go on a walkabout to get a real glimpse of Bulgaria......WOW....this country really is different to what i've become used to on my travels. Everybody I tried to speak to seemed friendly and polite and even though the language was a bit of a barrier to overcome, my first impressions were very good and I wanted to see more of this country and its people. Next day I met with the estate agents and went on my viewing trip. I must have been to 30 villiages and seen about 40 houses. The villiagers were so so friendly and most of them came out to see who the stranger in town was. Anyway to cut a long story short I found a property that I liked very much and agreed to buy it. Everything was going so well I could hardly believe it, then the estate agent hit me with with their fees for commission etc. The agent (wont mention any names) was kind of surprised at my discontent but in honesty I was so excited about the prospect of owning a Bulgarian property I might have ignored the info on fees etc. I completed on the property purchase about 40 days later and was now the proud owner of a Fine Bulgarian Villiage House.

During my time in Bulgaria I found many places that were so beautiful and natural I found another house that I wanted in the Rousse (Ruse) district. Naturally you expect things to go smoothly but I would be stupid if I didnt expect some hiccups during the purchase procedure. Yes mistakes were made but The company ( wont mention any names ) have since learnt from their mistakes and have bent over backwards to put things right.I and a few friends of mine decided to take on board the experiences I had been through, and we decided that we should form a Bulgarian property company that could provide cheap and affordable Bulgarian Houses to clients as well as offer them a better service with the prospect of less mistakes from what I had witnessed so far. I must add that I do still have dealings with both companies and would like to think that we are all on friendly terms. My belief is that there are many Bulgarian houses for sale and by staying in contact with these people it can only be more beneficial to ALL our clients.....More houses to offer and a wide range of knowledge has got to be a plus side in any company.

We at ABH (Affordable Bulgarian Houses) are a partnership consisting of five partners, three from the UK and two from Bulgaria. Three of us are Directors of our own businesses in our countries already which is an advantage as we have already acquired certain skills necessary to benefit any future clients.We have all got some knowledge of what people want as well as what they expect and we intend to put them into practice. Yes we are a business and all businesses need to make a profit to survive. But one thing you can rely on when dealing with us is that you (the customer) are first and foremost, and your satisfaction is paramount.We are based in Rousse (Ruse) but we have many reliable contacts that cover most of Bulgaria so we are not just limited to one region.We will be honest with you at all times ( even if we do make a mistake) and if you do use our services and complete on a property purchase, we will endeavour to continue helping you in any way that we can. Communication has been a problem throughout both my previous purchases and I found this to be really frustrating. If you contact us by telephone and you have left a message you will receive a response that day if its possible. All emails will be answered within a 24 hour period. We will be using Skype as well which saves on the price of a phone call and personally I think there is nothing better than talking to a human at the other end. Most people investing their hard earned cash have reservations and are dubious who to trust this money with and I have to admit I was the same. Update 7th April 2008

Well a year has nearly passed now and things have moved on. I am now speaking with other reputable Property Agents in the Rousse (Ruse) Region and I believe we will be working together in the near future thus giving our customers more choice when it comes to finding that perfect property. I have done business with these people in the past and they have been very professional in their dealings with myself.
